I still think "whore" when one girls name pops up as a suggested friend. It has been over ten years as well. High school was defining, but I have no desire to relive it. I am holding out for my 25th. I keep in touch with those I want to.

I've declined to skip all my high school reunions. The people I would be happy to see are the 3 or 4 I still talk to periodically. Everyone else can suck it.

Also, LOVE "spelunking for former acquaintances."

I'm always amazed when people find me on facebook, remember me from HS, and I have NO FLIPPING IDEA who they are.

Thank God reunions have nametags... or so I've heard.

There isn't a single person from high school that I'd care to run into. Not a damn one. Every now and then Facebook finds one of them, and lets me know about it since I have listed my school. Luckily, my name here is NOT my real name, so THEY haven't a clue who I am. *me shudders thinking about it*

That's why I've never returned to a HS reunion! Went to my 25th COLLEGE reunion and THAT was great. Perhaps reconnecting with people around whom you were at least sort of mature helps.
